Plumbing Contractors Do More

A plumbing contractor deals with remodeling, renovation, and new construction. They handle the big plumbing tasks that involve the home's water supply, water heaters, septic system, or waste disposal systems. They install gas connections, flues, and control valves. These professionals install back flow equipment and other devices that regular plumbers usually don't work with.

Plumbing contractors work as consultants, too. During a home's planning stages, they ensure that construction or repairs are in compliance with local, state, and federal building codes. They verify that commercial plumbing complies with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The final inspection of new plumbing construction is typically done by a plumbing contractor.
